| The Anchorage Acquisition Section provides contracted aviation services
for DOI and non-DOI activities within the States of Alaska and
Hawaii. Contracts include both fixed and rotary wing aircraft as
well as maintenance support services for Government owned and operated
aircraft. The majority of contracts are for exclusive use of
individual bureaus, ranging in term from 60 to 120 days. An On-Call
Helicopter service contract is also awarded for daily or intermittent use
by bureaus, through the ARO Flight Coordination Center. The ARO Acquisition
Section also purchases aircraft for use in Alaska and also arranges for
the sale and disposal of aircraft and aircraft parts. |
